After five months of speculation, Carven has announced that Alexis Martial and Adrien Caillaudaud will take the helm of the label, following Guillaume Henry's departure at the end of last year. According to a statement from Carven's CEO, Henri Sebaoun: "We warmly welcome Alexis and Adrien to Carven as we continue to define a Parisian and fresh elegance for the woman of today. We look forward to the overall creative vision they will bring to the growing world of Carven."
While Henry left the Paris-based design house for Nina Ricci, following Peter Copping's move to Oscar de la Renta late last year, Marital and Caillaudaud come from similarly situated houses. Martial makes the move to Carven from his creative director position at Iceberg, prior to which he worked at Givenchy. Caillaudaud hails from Givenchy, where he worked on the footwear and accessories lines alongside Riccardo Tisci. And we won't have to wait long for the duo's debut. The Fall 2015 collection will be the pair’s first showing. Carven representatives confirmed to Style.com that Caillaudaud has already been at work on the collection for some time, while Martial officially joined him today to finalize the collection and show. Stay tuned for our coverage of the show, which takes place on Thursday.
And just in case you thought these appointments put the latest round of fashion musical chairs to bed, you're wrong! Rumor has it that Fall/Winter 2015 was Peter Dundas' final collection for Emilio Pucci, and the speculation has begun! According to blogs, he is headed for Roberto Cavalli.
