J.W. Anderson is at the middle of some lookalike fashion controversy. Famed personal style blogger, Bryan Boy tweeted the image above, calling attention to the similarity between a look from the young London-based designer's Spring/Summer 2014 collection and one from Japan-born, Paris-based designer Atsuro Tayama's Fall/Winter 1999 collection. Tayama, who made his debut in 1991, is revered for his innovative designs that embody the subtlety of his Eastern influence, as well as the more relaxed and fluid silhouettes of the West. Anderson, who was recently appointed creative director at LVMH-owned brand, Loewe, is also known for his own original designs, namely, his take on gender-bending fashion. The two looks certainly share a notable similarity (think: the applied shoulder and waist panels). So, is this a case of inspiration or imitation?
