Balenciaga has announced that its newly appointed creative director Demna Gvasalia will present his first menswear collection for the label with a runway show this summer. While the brand maintains a menswear collection, and even a standalone menswear store in New York, this marks the first time the French house has presented menswear show. According to a statement from the Paris-based house, the show will take place during men's Spring/Summer 2017 fashion week in Paris on June 22. This will be the first menswear collection that Gvaslia, who made his much-anticipated debut for Balenciaga in March, has created for the house. He has, however, presented menswear looks in connection with his own label, Vetements.
