Chanel is ready for the long standing lawsuit it has been facing to be over. In September, we told you that a Paris Court of Appeals ordered Chanel to pay up after it was found guilty of counterfeiting. World Tricot, one of Chanel's former knitwear suppliers, brought a suit in 2005 alleging that Chanel had copied its design for a crochet vest. Chanel's legal team just announced it has decided not to appeal the decision and will pay the $250,000 damages amount. “With regard to the World Tricot case, Chanel has decided not to file an appeal with the Supreme Court. Chanel believes that this lawsuit, which involves a very specific, complex matter, should come to an end,” the fashion house announced on Wednesday according to WWD. You win some, you lose some.
