The Fashion Law - How old are you and where are you from?
I'm 28 years old and I'm from Kyiv, Ukraine.
The Fashion Law - Tell me a bit about your brand.
I launched my brand, YULIA YEFIMTCHUK+, in Kiev in 2011, and I specialize in women's ready-to-wear collections of small circulation. The main source of inspiration for me is the real citizen living “here and now." It is someone a little shy and reserved, but embraceable. Intelligence and sincerity, pure colors, smooth and broken lines, minimalistic fit. It is enough simple and classical silhouettes, completed by structural features.
The Fashion Law - How do you think your brand is different from others?
My brand is only 2 years old now, and so, I think it is hard to say how it differs from others.
The Fashion Law - Why is being a finalist for the Hyeres prize important to you?
This is an opportunity to demonstrate my abilities at the international level. I get to meet with participants from other countries, and many people from the fashion world. This is a good experience and practice, which is lacking in my country.
