J.W. Anderson Appoints CEO, Launches e-Commerce Site

Designer Jonathan Anderson, known for his gender-bending fashion, has appointed a chief executive officer for his eponymous label. Simon Whitehouse, who has previously worked in similar roles at Matthew Williamson and Diesel, will assist Anderson in "managing the design, retail and sales teams at the label, a role that the designer describes as his 'partner in crime,'" per Vogue UK.

This is the first time the Irish-born designer, who splits time between his London-based eponymous label and Madrid-based/LVMH-owned luxury fashion brand Loewe, where he was appointed creative director this past September, after LVMH acquired a 49% stake in his namesake brand. Also of interest, Anderson impending launch of his e-commerce platform, another first for the brand, which is slated for June 16.
