John Mayer Suing Watch Broker Over Fake Rolexes

Singer John Mayer has filed a lawsuit against Robert Maron, alleging that the watch expert and broker to the stars sold him $5 million in watches, seven of which have since been deemed counterfeits by Rolex. According to the complaint filed yesterday in California Superior Court, Mayer sent one of the watches he bought from Maron to Rolex for servicing in 2010, and the Swiss co. informed him that the watch contained non-Rolex parts.

Now, Mayer is seeking upwards of $650,000, the purchase price of the seven watches, as well as interest and damages, including fraud, breach of oral contract and negligent misrepresentation. Marlon's legal team has released a statement, calling Mayer's claims "factually meritless" and saying: "Mr. Maron refused to pay Mr. Mayer a cent to settle his frivolous claims, and will instead defeat them in court."
