Michael Pantalony Out at Louis Vuitton, In at Gucci

It appears that the Michael Pantalony, Louis Vuitton's former Director of Intellectual Property, who may or may not have gotten the boot after the University of Pennsylvania Law School drama last year, has moved on from LVMH. As of April, Pantalony has been serving as Intellectual Property Counsel at Kering-owned brand, Gucci.

You may recall that under Pantalony's watch, Louis Vuitton was overly vigilant in its trademark protection, sending cease and desist letters to everyone from XXL Magazine to the University of Pennsylvania, a particularly notable letter in which he chastised the school for misappropriating the Louis Vuitton Toile monongram mark. A month after the backlash that followed Penn's poster and Louis Vuitton's harsh cease and desist letter in March 2012, Pantalony was no longer working at Louis Vuitton. Exactly a year later, he was in at Gucci.
