Alexander Wang is easily one of the most talked about (and hence, in-demand) young designers in the U.S., and thanks to his new job at Balenciaga, he's also an internationally-known name. So, it seems fitting that his wares are being copied - constantly. Replicas of his Spring 2013 tops and dresses (the garments constructed from pieced together leather panels, many of which had a sportwear vibe) have been making their rounds for quite awhile now, and now its time for some blatant copies of the shoes.
The Glacier Aline t-strap sandal has been copied pretty heavily already. The latest style to get the fast fashion treatment: the Mackenzie bootie. And who better to do it than Nasty Gal? The Los Angeles-based online retailer (and giant in the making) launched a footwear collection this week, entitled Shoe Cult, which consists of "styles you won't find anywhere else" (their words not mine).
