Calvin Klein has been quietly releasing Raf Simons’s work since the Belgian design force took the helm there this summer. Ahead of Simons making his formal debut for the New York-based brand this month in what is sure to be New York Fashion Week's most highly anticipated show in years, Calvin Klein introduced Simons’s first official collection, By Appointment. Also: do not forget its introduction of the Raf Simons x Peter Saville-modified logo.
And now comes the men’s ad campaign. Shot at the Rubell Family Collection in Miami, the S/S 2017 campaign stars three models – in CK briefs – standing in front of the work of Simons collaborator Sterling Ruby in one image, and real-life couple, Jonas Gloeer and Kiki Willems, in another. Simons’s usual team of collaborators – including stylist Olivier Rizzo and photographer Willy Vanderperre – were involved, of course. Stay tuned for more.
