Givenchy's creative director, Riccardo Tisci, revealed to Style.com that he has collaborated with Nike for a NIKE RT collection, which will hit stores and Nike.com this Spring. No word yet on what the collection will specifically include, aside from footwear and some apparel. We do know this, though: Nike dropped the "s" word in describing Tisci's appeal. Ian Ginoza, Nike’s Global Footwear Director, said: “I personally wear some of the [Givenchy] t-shirts; that’s something that Riccardo does well, blurring the lines with street fashion.” Because Tisci is known for street fashion. It is cool that Tisci is bringing his stars and graphic prints to Nike, but here's a thought: Revive the Givenchy couture collection. Since 2010, the house, which was founded as a couturier has shifted away from staging runway shows for its couture collections to showing in a presentation format to presenting nothing at all!
