Rihanna has settled the lawsuit she filed against her former accountants at Berdon LLP. You may recall that Rihanna filed the suit in 2012 against her former accounting firm and two accountants, alleging that they were liable for “gross mismanagement” of her finances, costing her millions of dollars during her 2010 “Last Girl on Earth” tour. Specifically, Rihanna alleged that the firm extracted millions of dollars from her by way of “excessive and exorbitant” commissions, mishandled her foreign and domestic taxes, and failed to monitor unpaid song royalties.
Well, as of this week, the parties have settled the case, in light of the upcoming trial date, which was slated for May 12th. As for how much Berdon LLP had to pay the singer to make the matter go away, we're not sure. Details of the settlement haven't been released, and lawyers for Rihanna and for the defendants, accounting firm Berdon and former employees Michael Mitnick and Peter Gounis, declined to comment.
