For the second time in just a few months, Italian designer Roberto Cavalli is speaking his mind about fellow designer, Michael Kors. Cavalli sat down with Haute Living a Miami-based magazine to discuss his newest restaurant venture (which is located in Miami) and ended up also talking about NYC-based designer, Michael Kors. The designer, who is known for his animal-printed and sequined wares, had the following to say: "Now you have designers and you have Zara, which is meant to be fast and sold at a very cheap price, so you expect [copying]. But Mr. Michael Kors, he copies everything! It's really a scandal and nobody has the courage to say anything. It's really not fair." Cavalli is beginning to rival Chanel creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, in terms of his controversial speaking points. You may recall that in the past he has dissed just about every designer other than Gianni Versace and Alexander McQueen; called American fashion pathetic; etc. However, in Cavalli's defense, Michael Kors did copy that Karlie Kloss wore to close his S/S 2013 show (pictured above) from an existing Cushnie et Ochs design. So, there may be some truth to Cavalli's words. Thoughts?
