Industry "it" girl Vanessa Traina (pictured below) styled Joseph Altuzarra’s Spring 2014 runway, created a capsule for Maje (and fronted the campaign), and works with clients that range from T Magazine, Vogue Japan, and Purple magazines, Balenciaga, Erdem, and Cynthia Rowley, just to name a few. In case that's not enough, she grew up with Alexander Wang, is besties with the boys behind Proenza Schouler, and married her now-husband artist Max Snow in Givenchy couture - surely a testament to her impeccable taste. Most recently, the San Francisco-born, New York-based Traina launched THE LINE, a luxury e-tailer that features a tightly edited selection of clothing, beauty products, and home goods.
All goods in the site are selected by Traina, who serves as the company's exec. creative director. Of the site's “quintessentials," Traina says: "With all of the fast fashion today, we felt the need to strip down and get back to the basics,” Traina said. “We are not aiming to bring you the hottest trend of the season; we are presenting items that are elevated yet familiar. We essentially wanted to create the perfect, seasonless wardrobe—those items that you can throw on no matter the day, time, or season.” As for the brands, they range from J.W. Anderson, Assouline, and Vince to Reed Krakoff, Linda Farrow, and Rodin Olio Lusso. The site is a must-see, especially for those who like luxury, no fuss fashion.
