It is a Louis Vuitton day here at The Fashion Law. Lady Gaga dyed her hair "Louis Vuitton brown" and we have an update on the "Louis Vuitton" gun. You may recall that late last month, Machine Guns Vegas came out with its very own take on the French design house's monogram, splashing the LV logo on one of its hand guns and putting it up for sale on its website. Louis Vuitton quickly released a statement saying: “Louis Vuitton is in no way associated with this company. We do not manufacture gun grips and do not condone the alteration of our creations in any way.” However, we were surprised that the image of the "LV" gun was not removed
Machine Guns Vegas' website within hours of its posting. (LV intensely polices unauthorized use of its trademark). In fact, the picture remained on the site for quite awhile; weeks to be exact. We can now confirm that the image has been removed and according to a Machine Guns Vegas spokesperson, it is not currently available for sale. The only surprising aspect in all of this is how long it took for LV to get Machine Guns Vegas to remove the image.
