Here's an update on Jersey Shore star, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino's trademark drama. You may recall that in November he brought suit (via his company MPS Entertainment) against Abercrombie & Fitch in a Miami, Florida court, claiming that Abercrombie infringed on his trademarks with their T-shirts, which included sayings like "The Fitchuation" and "GTL." Well the case, MPS Entertainment, LLC et al v. Abercrombie & Fitch Stores, Inc., is now set for trial. Up until now, the parties have been battling over the retailer’s attempt to strike various parts of Sorrentino’s second amended complaint before Magistrate Judge John J. O’Sullivan in the Southern District of Florida. Turns out, Abercrombie has managed to remove "GTL" from the case as Sorrentino did not have a registered trademark for the saying in class 25, which cover clothing t-shirts, at the time of filing.
