VFILES Launched a UNIVERSITY Lecture Series

The Fashion Law Exclusive – Because the team at VFILES is not content with simply taking over the web, producing a few original and wildly addicting web series, staging shows at New York Fashion Week (whose designers go on to become favorites of Rihanna), and just generally being a cool cultural movement (more about that here), they are taking on academia. That’s right, the minds behind 12 Mercer Street (their Soho brick and mortar store) and Model Files (the mockumentary web series starring casting director Preston Chaunsumlit) have launched VFILES UNIVERSITY.

Julie Anne Quay, the former executive editor at V magazine-turned-VFILES visionary, announced today via Twitter and Instagram (of course) the launch of the VFILES UNIVERSITY, a lecture series that will be held in conjunction with Columbia Business School and which examines the intersection between fashion/media/commerce/business/etc. VFILES  is kicking off their latest venture today at Columbia with a lecture by John Sykes, the co-founder of MTV and VH1. Our friends over at VFILES told us that the next UNIVERSITY event is a panel discussion with been trill and there will be tons more to follow. My only question is: What can’t VFILES do? More info. to come …
