‘Mining the Archives’ is a TFL feature that highlights singular design staples and silhouettes that are carried out and reinterpreted through generations at the some of the industry’s most esteemed design houses. Here we see a green fur coat introduced during Yves Saint Laurent’s own tenure at his eponymous label in 1971, shown by Tom Ford during his time with the house (1999-2004), and cropped and carried through to Hedi Slimane’s creative directorship, which lasted from 2012 to March 2016.
