Kering and ICCF Group have entered into a strategic partnership, with Kering acquiring a minority stake in the company as it looks to deepen its exposure to culturally resonant luxury brands. Financial terms were not disclosed. In a statement on April 16, Kering said that the partnership is designed to combine “ICCF’s deep understanding of the Chinese luxury ecosystem and cultural landscape” with Kering’s “long-standing expertise in craftsmanship, operations and brand development in Europe.”
Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, and Bottega Veneta-owner Kering also stated that the investment will support the next phase of growth for ICCF’s flagship brand ICICLE, including “the continued international expansion of the brand” and “the enrichment of its product offering across new categories.”
Founded in 1997 in Shanghai, ICICLE is known for a design aesthetic “rooted in Eastern philosophy,” as well as its “Made in Earth” approach, which emphasizes harmony between humanity and nature. The brand focuses on high-quality natural fabrics, including cashmere, wool, linen, silk, and cotton, often using undyed or plant-dyed materials to create what it positions as sustainable, high-end clothing. ICICLE offers women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories and operates more than 200 stores globally, including flagship locations in Beijing, Shanghai, and Paris.
The deal also marks the rollout of Kering’s newly launched House of Wonders, which is “designed to selectively support emerging luxury Houses with strong cultural relevance across markets, categories and geographies.” Through this initiative, Kering is taking a more “partnership-driven approach,” targeting brands with “a distinctive vision, deep authenticity and global resonance potential.”
